About

Ty Trenary

Principal, Double T Consulting · Former Elected Sheriff · Emergency Manager

I’ve spent more than 25 years in law enforcement and emergency management, working my way up from sergeant to elected Sheriff of Snohomish County, Washington, where I led an agency serving 950,000 residents. As Sheriff, I directed our response to a catastrophic landslide disaster and a $50M radio and communications modernization spanning 30 agencies and two 911 center mergers, delivered on time.

From there I moved to the County Executive’s Office, directing multi-agency COVID-19 response operations, including a food-security program that reached 25,000+ residents every week, and leading policy work that saved taxpayers $22M.

Today I deploy nationally with National EMR’s Incident Management Team. I started Double T Consulting to bring that same command-level experience to the communities and organizations that need it, before, during, or after a disaster.
