I served as the elected Sheriff of Snohomish County, Washington, leading an agency of 850 personnel that served 950,000 residents. I was Incident Commander for the SR-530 (Oso) landslide recovery and later led county emergency management and policy through the multi-year COVID-19 response. Today I deploy with National EMR's Incident Management Team on multi-state disaster responses.
